Donato Epiro is a young Italian musician who rides the contemporary drone waves, but with a wooden voodoo surf board. His Sounding The Sun cd-r (Stunned Records, 2009) sounds like a ritualistic journey in which gentle raga loops, chants, flutes and percussive mantras merge to create a world of new school minimalism.
