With her project Sparks 2021 Francesca Grilli is among the winners of the 9th edition of the Italian Council, the most authoritative Italian award for contemporary art. Sparks 2021 – a workshop, performance, and installation – revolves around the minimal yet revolutionary action of delivering a reading of our future into the hands of children. On the grounds of thinking that is both poetic and political, the children in Sparks, the actors and authors of visions and reflections, activate a free process of unravelling and interpretation that is projected from the present into the future.
