Talk with Jeremiah Day and Christophe Busch, moderated by Pieternel Vermoortel

Online

As part of the exhibition Citoyenne Reprise, artist Jeremiah Day will be in conversation with Christophe Busch, director of the Hannah Arendt Institute.

Together they will discuss the legacy of Hannah Arendt and the importance of her thinking for pressing issues such as polarization, super diversity and migration. The recently founded Hannah Arendt Institute is an organization that aims to connect scientific knowledge about diversity, urbanity and citizenship with insights and experiences of policy makers, organizations and citizens. Jeremiah Day’s work questions when, how and why we become politically active as individuals and the role of art in this process. From this experience, their conversation focuses on forms of self-organization and political resistance through civic assemblies, occupations and activism.
