De Prijs voor de Jonge Kunstkritiek is an incentive prize for a new generation of critics and essayists from the Dutch-speaking regions, who write about contemporary visual art.

The prize is an initiative of De Appel Amsterdam, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art Rotterdam, the Mondriaan Fund, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, M HKA – Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp, Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven, Cobra Museum of Modern Art, Netwerk Aalst and M-Museum Leuven.

With this prize, the organisers want to invest in the future of a high-quality Dutch-language art discourse that, without loss of quality, is also accessible to readers with less expertise in contemporary visual art.
