Jeniffer Vansteyvoort has been appointed general director of Netwerk. She succeeds Steven Op de Beeck, who takes up a new role as visual arts coordinator for the city of Mechelen. With this appointment, the organisation is investing in one of its biggest and most loyal supporters. Jeniffer has been committed to the organisation for a long time, from her start as a volunteer to her more recent role as coordinator of day-to-day operations and production. Through her connecting personality and great dedication to Netwerk, Aalst and the Dender region, Jeniffer has become an indispensable colleague within the organisation. The board is confident that the stability of the organisation, partly thanks to Steven’s contribution, will continue to be guaranteed under Jeniffer’s leadership. Moreover, she will continue her efforts to create the necessary conditions to make the organisation’s artistic programme possible. We wish Steven the best of luck in his new position and thank him for his inexhaustible commitment and dedication to Netwerk.
