Following an encounter with Israeli intelligence agents at the airport of Tel Aviv, Croatian theatre director Tea Tupaji? decided to study how intelligence agencies make use of performative methods and artistic insights. From 2013 to 2015, she collaborated with former officers of the Israeli intelligence agencies. SPY SCHOOL is the result of this collaboration.

During a two-day workshop, Tea Tupaji? teaches us how to strengthen our social skills, drawing from the toolbox of skills and tricks of an intelligence officer.

Next to these workshops, SPY SCHOOL consists of a series of public lectures, and Eye Spy Film Night, an all-night spy film festival. The lectures will, among others, address the historical development of human intelligence, reflect on the relationship between magic and intelligence techniques, and look into the security and intelligence field in Belgium and beyond.

Practical

Every workshop lasts two days. Both individuals, organisations or companies are welcome to join. The workshops are planned on:

• 19 & 20 May, 11 AM to 6 PM
• 23 & 24 May, 10 AM to 5 PM
• 26 & 27 May, 11 AM to 6 PM

Cost

• 60 € per person, full price for two days, including lunch
• 50 € per person, reduced price for two days, including lunch. Reduced price is for students and groups from 10 people and more.
